Bryn Mawr Hospital board members attend cocktail soirée at Devon Horse Show
On Tuesday, May 28, The Devon Horse Show & Country Fair welcomed more than 60 board members, donors, physicians, and executive team members from Bryn Mawr Hospital. The cocktail soirée took place in The Devon Horse Show’s committee stand overlooking the Dixon Oval.
Since 1919, proceeds from the annual Devon Horse Show and Country Fair have supported Bryn Mawr Hospital, the event’s sole beneficiary. Cumulative donations over the last 105 years total $20 million and most recently, Devon was the first and largest donor to the hospital’s capital campaign to expand and relocate the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. Thanks to Devon’s longstanding and generous support, Bryn Mawr Hospital has consistently been at the forefront of healthcare with state-of-the-art technology and highly trained medical professionals. The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair’s commitment to the hospital has positively impacted countless lives and shaped the very health of our community for over a century.
Started in 1896, The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair is the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed horse show in North America and draws in top competitors from around the world. With the grandeur of Philadelphia’s historic Main Line as its backdrop, the show continues to reflect the local traditions and lifestyles of the community. The event is run by more than 2,200 volunteers and offers a variety of boutique shops, amusement rides and games for kids, multiple dining options, and live entertainment. Proceeds support The Bryn Mawr Hospital.
