Woodmere’s ‘The Party’ takes place at Maguire Hall
”The Party” is Woodmere’s annual fundraiser celebration, commemorating the amazing things that the honorees have accomplished for the art and artists of Philadelphia. On Saturday, October 3, 2026 ”The Party 2026″ honored Julie and Jim Alexandre and Syd Carpenter and Steve Donegan.
Here are some scenes from the event

1. Honorees and spouses Syd Carpenter, Jim Alexandre, Steven Donegan and Julie Alexandre gathered on the steps of Woodmere’s Maguire Hall during the reception and awards ceremony.

2. Syd Carpenter and Steven Donegan shared the unique seating on Maguire Hall’s terrace.

3. Joanne Conrad, Karl Fong, Neal Krouse, Glen Sacks and Julie Alexandre toasted the occasion.

4. Rebecca Segall, Maida Milone and Ro King made their entrance in fine style.

5. Amy Gillette, Veronica Farr and Marie Latham paused for a photo during the reception. Amy and Marie are wearing gowns created by famed designer Mary McFadden.

7. Amanda Higdon, Laura Heemer, Rick Ortwein, Julianne Liska, Amanda Monroe and Nicholas Kowalski shared a fun moment.

8. Woodmere Director and CEO Bill Valerio shared a moment with Gail Harrity and Sandy Tilney. Gail was president and COO at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for 26 years.

9. John Wind and Bill Osman said hello to Katherine Ott Lovell.

10. Jim Alexandre paused for a photo with Penelope Harris.

11. David Andrews, John D’Avella, David Choate, Denise D’Avella, Sarah and Ted Lodge and Anne Choate gathered for a photo.

12. Michael Jakubowski chatted with Michael Shannon, Rachel Zimmerman, Amanda Kaiserman and Nicolas Tosi.

14. John McFadden and. Lisa Kabnick attended The Party, John is Mary McFaddens brother and the principal for his sister Mary McFadden and her unique gown collection. The collection is on display in a special area at Maguire Hall.

15. Penelope Harris and Stacy Fiechter chatted with Anne Standish, The Klorfine Foundation Director of Institutional Advancement at Woodmere (center). Anne was wearing a piece from the Mary McFadden collection. Many of these pieces can be rented for a special occasion.
