Peter’s Place honored Jane McNeil, Board Emeritus, for her many contributions and impact to our mission at their 25^th Anniversary Celebration Benefit & Auction on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square.

Jane’s connection to Peter’s Place began in 2008, when she co-facilitated a suicide survivor support group, offering compassion and guidance to families navigating profound loss. Although the group ran for one year, her commitment to the mission continued to grow. In 2009, Jane became a dedicated donor and went on to serve as Co-Chair of the 10th Anniversary Benefit & Auction, helping to expand awareness and support for grieving children and families in our community.

Eleanor Godin, Peter’s Place Board Emeritus, and long-time friend of Jane shared, “She lost both of her parents at the age of 13 and understands, all too well, the fear, loneliness, and isolation children and families experience after a loss that shatters their entire world. This deeply personal experience has inspired her enduring commitment to Peter’s Place. Over the past 16 years, Jane has played a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission and expanding its services. With great gratitude, we are honored to celebrate Jane on our 25th Anniversary!”

Jane joined the Board of Directors of Peter’s Place in 2012 and was honored with Emeritus status in 2017, a reflection of her lasting impact on the organization.

As Board Emeritus, Jane, along with her organization, The Lily Foundation, played a pivotal role in funding the collaboration and publication of Peter’s Place’s first children’s book, When I Remember, The Tears Come. Inspired by her own experience, Jane was driven to create a meaningful tool for others facing similar loss. Through her connection to Peter’s Place, she ensured the story honored Peter Morsbach’s legacy.

“Every time I walk into Peter’s Place, I am so grateful to be a part of an organization that exists for young people and their families who are going through a very difficult time in their lives. At 13, when I lost both of my parents, there were no books available to me or a grieving community to be a part of where I could feel less alone and isolated with my grief. I see what I didn’t have when I was 13 and beam over being able to honor the people who are gone and make this book accessible to children everywhere,” Jane said.

The Peter’s Place family extends our genuine gratitude to Jane for believing in our mission and the immediate need for grief support services in our community.
