The 11th annual Globy Awards honors six Philadelphians
The Global Philadelphia Association held its 11th Annual Globy Awards at the historic Ballroom At the Ben. Emceed by Philadelphia’s 2026 Director Michael Newmuis the afternoon honored six Philadelphians whose leadership strengthens our city’s reputation as a thriving, diverse, and globally engaged community, a true reflection of what makes Philly globally relevant and locally unstoppable.
City leaders, including Michael Newmuis, Philadelphia’s 2026 Director and event emcee, will gather to honor six global ambassadors ahead of 2026:
- Heritage and Preservation Leadership: Dr. Ashley Jordan, President & CEO, African American Museum in Philadelphia
- Educational Leadership: Farah Jimenez, President & CEO, The Philadelphia Education Fund
- Corporate Leadership: Gregory E. Deavens, Former President & CEO, Independence Health Group
- Community Leadership: Jane Golden, Founder & Executive Director, Mural Arts Philadelphia
- Sustainable Development Leadership: Lindsey Scannapieco, Founder, Scout
- Lifetime Achievement: Reverend Peter M. Donohue, ODA, PhD, President of Villanova University
