City Year Leadership Luncheon supports AmeriCorps members

City Year Philadelphia’s 11th Annual Women’s Leadership Luncheon united women to support the service of City Year Philadelphia’s AmeriCorps members, who serve as Student Success Coaches, while also inspiring women’s empowerment. Guests joined in an inspiring panel discussion, From Coverage to Impact: Women Leaders in Advocacy Journalism and Community Action. The event featured panelists: Loraine Ballard Morrill, Director of News and Community Affairs – iHeartMedia Philadelphia; Beatrice Forman, Breaking News & Features Reporter, The Philadelphia Inquirer; Marie Harf, American Political Commentator, and Executive Director, Perry World House, University of Pennsylvania; Aunyea Lachelle, Entertainment and Lifestyle Anchor, NBC10’s Philly Live; and special guest moderator Sarah Banet-Weiser, Walter H. Annenberg Dean, and Professor at Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania. The funds raised for this event will guarantee that our Student Success Coaches remain on the forefront of supporting educational opportunity now and in the future.
