The exhibit will run from November 22, 2025 to August 16, 2026. The preview event celebrated Sebastian Errazuriz as this year’s recipient of the 39th annual Collab Design Excellence Award, for his outstanding contributions to the field of design.
Collab is the museum’s affinity group for modern and contemporary design and has celebrated diverse international designers who have made important contributions that advance all disciplines of design. Collab was established in 1986 and presents the award annually.

2. Sebastian Errazuriz was honored with the 39th Collab Design Excellence Award. The exhibit is a mid-career survey presenting 15 years of a multi-hyphenate practice that gives design a conceptual, surrealist blend. Errazuriz twists the typical expectations of furniture, lighting, and everyday objects. Embracing humor and appropriation, his one-of-a-kind pieces often have a subtext that goes beyond form and function, extending into the realms of personal narrative, political message, and cultural commentary.

3. Lisa Roberts, David Seltzer, and Louis Marchesano paused for a photo before the awards program began.

4. Karen Cox, and Oscar and Bob Weg attended the event.

5. Ann Squires, Jodie McLean and Brandon McCardle enjoyed the reception.

6. Jerry Wind, Caroline Dilsheimer and Barbara Eberlein attended the event.

7. Lisa Roberts shared a moment with Eleanor Nairne.
