Devon Horse Show Carriage Marathon and Spectator’s Picnic Contest takes place at St. David’s Church grounds
Devon Horse Show’s traditional Carriage Marathon and Spectator’s Picnic took place on Sunday, May 26, 2025. The drive began at 11 a.m. at St. David’s Church and ended back at Devon about 1 p.m. The event included a picnic sponsored by The Devon Country Fair and organized by Missy Schwartz who provided a fabulous picnic for her guests as well as judging the picnic contestants and their themes!

1. Picnic judges led by Missy Schwartz (center) included Megan Reese, Bonnie Baskin, Larry Byron, Kim Caulfield, Joanne Campbell and Debbie King

2. The carriages and their drivers were cheered on as they travelled through the streets close to the Devon Horse Show. The judging began at St. David’s Church grounds and continued on the road back to the Dixon Oval,where the final judging took place!

2. Leslie Padilla, publicist, and Sophia Garceau, Vanner House Vice President shared a moment with Tara McGuire. Vanner House is the recently-opened retail shop in Villanova with equestrian-themed goods, furnishings, clothing etc, including those stylish handbags!

3. Ted Heffernan was Missy’s guest at the event. Ted and Brandon Vidal loved the look of the picnic table!

12. Dawn Mini and her catering team, Andrea Rodgers, Luyen Dawson, and Allison Pancoast, created and served a Moroccan-picnic delight! Moroccan Mirage was the ”fav” theme of the day! and won the Spectator’s Prize. Realtor Lee Ann Embrey joined them in the photo op!
