White Dog Cafe Glen Mills Launches Coloring Book with Jay McClellan and Providence Animal Rescue
Color us excited as Providence Animal Center partners with artist Jay McClellan to create a coloring book featuring YOUR pup! Every other Monday, (July 29, August 12 & 26, September 9 & 23, and October 7, 21 & 28) through Monday, October 28th, weather permitting, Providence Animal Center will be on site with the pups of the week who will be available for adoption or to foster as well as to hold and cuddle. There will also be ongoing special events tied in with the Paws on the Paw-tio for Providence Animal Center throughout the season.“Providence and Francisville are thrilled to be partnering with the White Dog Cafe – and we are also excited to be working with the talented Jay McClellan on the upcoming coloring book featuring cats and dogs from the community,” Providence Chief Executive Officer Jo-Ann Zoll said adding, “there is a $250 fee for a page in the coloring book, $100 of which is tax deductible.”
The coloring book will be available for sale by the end of 2024. In addition to featuring their pup or cat on the pages of the coloring book, all participants will receive the original drawing of their animal designed and colored by Jay McClellan whose sentimental and decorative works cover the walls at White Dog Cafe Haverford, White Dog University City, and White Dog Glen Mills. His paintings juxtapose bold colors with graphic patterns and unique designs.
Providence Animal Center of Media offers life-affirming rescue, adoption, medical care, and training of companion animals. White Dog Café Glen Mills Executive Chef Michael Selser created a tail-wagging-worthy menu for pups, a doggie dining delights trio that included a plant-based honey-coconut Frosted Donut by Appleville Treats, a Roasted Chicken Bowl with Chicken Breast, Carrots, Peas, and Rice, and for dessert Giggy Bites Frozen Yogurt! For the humans, there was the Tito’s Dog House cocktail with proceeds benefitting Providence Animal Center.
