Annual Student Exhibition Preview Party invitations addressed at Merion Cricket Club
1. For more than a century, the Annual Student Exhibition (ASE) at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts has been the capstone academic achievement for our students. On Thursday, May 11, 2023, the tradition will continue, kicked off by the Annual Student Exhibition Preview Party, hosted by the Women’s Committee of PAFA. Following the Preview Party, the exhibition will be open to the public until June 4, 2023. Committee members gathered at Merion Cricket Club on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 to address invitations to the preview event. Pictured were Janis Strimel, Lynn Lehocky, Linda Aversa-Caldwell, Janice Peck, Iris Shea, Ashley Stewardson McGuinness, Julie Jensen Bryan and Maggie Murphy.
2. ASE helps students launch their professional careers. PAFA’s MFA and BFA students have the chance to exhibit their artwork in a world-class museum, where it will be seen by hundreds of art collectors and art lovers. Becoming a sponsor of the Annual Student Exhibition Preview is not only an opportunity to support rising artists on the cusp of their professional careers, it is a chance to connect with fellow collectors and art lovers, and to purchase work by the art stars of tomorrow before the exhibition opens to the public. Preview Party Co-Chair, Iris Shea (second left), worked with Linda Aversa-Caldwell, Lynn Lehocky and Janice Peck to address and personalize invitations during the committee gathering at the Merion Cricket Club.

3. The generosity of sponsors and ticket buyers along with those who purchase the amazing array of works created by PAFA’s talented graduates provides valuable scholarship support to current students. Janis Strimel, Julie Jensen Bryan, and Maggie Murphy hosted the invitation addressing event at Merion Cricket Club.

4. Net proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships for the ASE Preview, as well as a portion of the proceeds from each student artwork sold, directly support PAFA scholarship funds for current and future students. Rosemary Hankowsky, Katie Rhodes and Ana Maria Keene helped address the ASE Invitations.

5. These funds play a vital role in ensuring that PAFA can continue to recruit, educate, and support the very best and brightest up-and-coming artists. Tickets to the Preview Party offer an exclusive opportunity to explore and purchase new works by student-artists before the exhibition opens to the public. 6. Tickets for the Preview Party are sold at multiple tiers, allowing guests different benefits and entry times contingent upon their ticket level. Tickets and sponsorships available at pafa.org/ase-preview-party. PAFA staff member Tina DiSciullo-Acker, Women’s Committee member Ashley Stewardson McGuinness, and PAFA staff member Kate Fox gathered for a photo during the invitation addressing meeting.
