1. The businesses on King Street in Malvern saluted the historic equestrian traditions of Chester County during Malvern Derby Days on June 3.. “Dress to Impress and Don Your Hat’ for a hat contest took place at photographer David Campli’s King Street establishment. Attendees shopped, dined and enjoyed an evening with businesses staying open late and offering special promotions and live music. Event proceeds were donated to Bryn Mawr Hospital. At the end of the evening Amy and Charlotte Holzapfel- Best of Show; Agy and Grace Bakken- Best Mother-Daughter Duo; Annie Schmitt- Best Fresh Take; Theo and Monique Speedy- Best Couple Duo; and Sapna Sharma- Most Authentic were named winners of the hat contest. Anne Schmitt, George Brescia of QVC and Valerie and David Campli paused for a photo during the event.
2. Savvy’s Caroline O”Halloran, George Brescia of QVC and Jennaphr Frederick of FOX 29 served as judges for the hat competition.
