On Tuesday, September 29, 2020, Brickworks, one of the world’s largest and most diverse building material manufacturers, celebrated the opening of its first North American Design Studio in Philadelphia. Brickworks is the parent company of Pennsylvania-based Glen-Gery, who co-hosted the event. Located at the historic Witherspoon Building, the grand opening event kicked off with an official ribbon cutting ceremony and presentation by Mark Ellenor, President of Brickworks North America. Following the presentation media and industry attendees had the opportunity to receive an exclusive VIP tour of the 3,500 square foot studio and view hundreds of high-end product samples. To protect the safety and health of attendees, masks and appropriate physical distancing was required of staff and attendees. Private tours were also available upon request. Brickworks is committed to meeting the stylish needs of today’s architects, designers and homeowners through its collaborative design studios and diverse product portfolio. Boxed lunches were offered to attendees following the presentation. Mark Ellenor, President Brickworks North America, shared a ribbon cutting with Lara Roberson, Vice President North America Vice President and other staff members on the steps of their new design center at 1319 Walnut Street, Center C ity, Philadelphia.
Brickworks and Glen-Gery will launch a Folio magazine for architects this fall.
