1. Empowering a Legacy – Empowering Yourself presented by The Breast Cancer Action Group took place at Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. The event featured Jennifer Hayden, Author of ”Story of My Tits & Underwire.” Diagnosed with breast cancer at age 43, Jennifer realized her breasts told a story. Across her life time they had held so many meanings: hope and fear, pride and embarrassment. And then they were gone. In her graphic novels, she tells her story of cancer diagnosis and how, while impacting her life, it was only a footnote compared to all that she was as a mother, wife, daughter, and a woman. Members of the Breast Cancer Action Group, Ronnie Somers, Adele Superfine, Susan Hyman and The Friends of Einstein Healthcare Networks president, Bobbi Wasserman, paused for a photo with author Jennifer Hayden (center) at the event.
