1. Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Women’s Board, Maternity Committee benefit at Viking Culinary Center in Bryn Mawr, generates funds to aid the hospital and the patients. For more than a century, the Women’s Board has through special events, donations and proceeds for the Pennywise Thrift Shop in Ardmore, Pa. has supported patient care endeavors. In 1892, when the Women’s Board was organized, $10 would provided a month of care for an infant. Today, the Board annually distributes over $100,000 to support many hospital programs.
